How we treat your Prints: |
|
After I receive your order, a digital file of the photograph(s) is processed with imaging software (Photoshop).
There isn't much to do at this point since the image(s) you selected is already fully realized - just
conversion to a file type for the printer, some minor sharpening and resolution changes. The modified copy of
the master file is then sent via the internet to my printer in California. The turnaround time is
approximately ten days. When I receive your photograph(s) from the printer, I unpack, sign, repack and
ship to you. Very large photographs, about 20 x 30, are mailed in a tube; smaller than that they are shipped
flat.
Regarding print paper and ink: my paper of choice is Fuji Crystal Archive Gloss printed with the Chromira printer. I use this paper because of its brilliance and accurate rendition of detail, especially in shadow areas. The inks used with the Chromira printer will not fade for decades. Contact me if you would prefer your images printed on paper different than gloss. I have other papers you may choose from. Please note that stated print dimensions are approximations and that the actual dimensions of a particular printed image may differ a bit due to artistic requirements. Your photograph, however, will look exactly as you see it here. |
Canvas Wraps: |
|
Canvas wraps are an affordable alternative to purchasing prints to be matted and framed. The simple, frameless look of a canvas
wrap image, with its edge finished in your choice of wrap around, mirrored or colored, works well with the clean lines of today's
modern homes and office buildings. In addition to their lower cost, images can be ordered in much larger sizes than photographic
paper: up to 72" widths.
My printer, the same professional lab who does all of my photographic printing, produces these wraps to the highest standards. They begin with top quality Luna Artist Canvas, then coat it with Eco Print Shield, the only print coating tested and rated by Wilhelm Imaging Research to increase display life. Then it's stretched around premium 5/8", 1.5" or 2.5" deep stretcher bars (your choice), and attached using stainless steel staples and wire for hanging. The ready-for-your-wall canvas wrap is then shipped to me, I sign it, then ship it to you. Any image you see on this website can be made into a canvas wrap. Please contact me regarding prices on canvas wraps. |
